Colombian students are full of love. They have touched my heart with their sweet smiles and curiosity.

I have been in Armenia, Colombia (the coffee region) for several days. The area is beautiful. I visited two public schools today with my host teacher, Biviana Correa. The students have been studying about refugees which gave me a wonderful opportunity to share some of my own refugee students' stories with them. Today was a good reminder to never underestimate the power of storytelling.

I have collected some good stories on this adventure. It has helped that my American teaching partner has a keen sense of humor. I don't think I will ever be able to go on a "flume ride" (log ride) again without a good belly laugh.
