Full Circle

I have two days left in Colombia. This whole experience has changed me. I have been inspired by the Colombians I have met, both teachers and students. I started this blog with postcards, postcards written by my students in Arizona for students in Colombia. I wasn't sure how the whole interchange would go. I was blown away by how excited these Colombian kids were to get a letter written in English from someone thousands of miles away. They were genuinely touched by this simple gesture, and in turn they worked diligently to respond.

How am I really going to make the most of my "Colombian" experience? I have been touched deeply, and I want this to be reflected in my classroom. I want to be a better teacher because of all I have seen and done. I'll start by handing out the postcard replies on Monday!
